I have been unintentionally using active recall all my life, and i tell you that it does not disappoint. I graduated elementary as the 2nd TOP student. And last year, in 7th grade, I was the TOP student(in my grade level) and got an average of 97 which was 2MORE points than our 2nd top student(95).

Most folks won't understand the reMarkable 2 because of the purpose in which it was built for, no distraction writing. They feel you can do the same thing on an iPad or Galaxy Tab which is true however, no distractions from apps and messaging! Pure focus and writing is the objective here and I love it.

I’m not a high performing student but the advise I can give is: Having a good plan that you can follow before you start studying allowing for repition just work as hard as you can study as much as you can and do as many past paper questions as you can repeat repeat repeat, learn atopic to teach it Set rules for yourself to limit distractions. For example if you feel like watching Netflix or playing a video game, tell yourself “no I’m not allowed to” Engage in light exercise during your breaks, DO NOT USE THIS TIME TO SCROLL ON YOUR PHONE Limit your rewards and avoid instant gratification: this means that that you shouldn’t give into the impulse to reward yourself with unproductive fun because you feel you worked hard Study before you sleep and then revise first thing early in the morning Do not sacrifice 8 hours of sleep. However this can be allowed the day before your exam provided you dedicate time for a Power Nap Don’t spend time watching these kinds of videos thinking you are productive, just sit down and study.

pomodoro technique works even if you are one of those people who get engrossed in study, get into flow state and still be near maximum concentration for up to an hour, you just have to adjust your timeframe, maybe to 60 minutes + 10 minute break. At this point even if you feel your mind is alert, you body needs a break! Your blood will be pooling, your internal organs groaning with boredom, your eyes fatigued by to much close focus. Get up, stretch, do some exercise, tidy up your room a bit, make a drink and a snack and sit down to another hour of fascinated engagement with your study topics!
